A very special rosette brooch! These Royal Air Force rosettes are made with vintage King's Crown WW2 RAF buttons and the RAF 100 wool tartan fabric woven by Strathmore Woollens Mill in Forfar, Scotland! The RAF 100 tartan was designed by Margi Lawson in 2017 to celebrate all past, present and future personnel and achievements attached to the Royal Air Force since its formation in 1918. The design encompasses the following colours: BURGUNDY, DARK BLUE, and LIGHT BLUE represents the colours of the RAF Stable Belt; GREY the incredible RAF aircraft; WHITE for the impressive jet trails and BLACK is for the respect of all fallen RAF comrades.
